What is the Institutional Client Service team responsible for?
This team assists institutional sales to establish and maintain excellent relations with institutional investors (prospects and clients) who are invested in separate accounts and pooled funds. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Client Relations and various client support teams to deliver best in class service to our clients. As Client Account Manager you’ll provide client reporting, attribution analysis, competitor/prospect analysis as well as getting involved in any ongoing projects to make our Institutional offering best in class.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of an Institutional Client Accounts Manager?- Attend select client meetings, and where appropriate Portfolio Management team meetings/calls- Proactively and reactively communicate information on Franklin Templeton (FT) investment vehicles, asset classes and research processes- Interpret data and ensure that reports are accurately presented to prospects, clients and consultants- Manage RFP process and follow-up for business opportunities- Support organization of road shows, client meetings and presentation material- Remain familiar with FT product offerings and investment philosophies (the whole range of FT strategies)- Articulate organizational updates, investment processes, investment themes and world market events- Provide support to Institutional Sales focused on Switzerland- Provide departmental support for client reporting, attribution analysis, competitor analysis as well as various ongoing projects assigned by Director or Manager- Build relationships among business units to produce a coherent, unified client servicing model- Active client follow-up ensuring prompt and efficient service- Ensure adherence to relevant compliance requirements for both clients and the business unit
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?- University degree with concentration in finance and/or economics preferred or equivalent work experience- Experience within Asset Management, with knowledge and background of Client Relationship Management, is preferred- General knowledge of the institutional investment management and mutual fund business- Good understanding of the Swiss pension fund market and its related regulation- Good understanding of the insurance market in Switzerland and the regulation (Solva 2, SST)- Strong verbal and written communication skills in German, French and English- Good understanding of investments and the investment process- Understanding of performance and risk analytics, including performance attribution- Ability to be flexible with client needs dictating required focus- Fluency in Microsoft Office- Ability for independent decision making skills- Ability to work independently and address issues internally as well as with clients and lead an active dialogue
