**Associate Director Project Portfolio Management, Portfolio & Biosimilars**
for its global Pharma Division Headquarter based in Allschwil
- Basel.
**Primary Job Function**:
- Program manager in biosimilars team
- Project Lead of one or more project teams
- PPM Portfolio Management
- Defines strategy and objectives for the global organic development portfolio aligned with TA strategies and overall I&D strategy
- For global organic portfolio management, serves as the principal catalyst, drives required work, alignments and crossfunctional decision making (within and beyond I&D). Serves as an interface, strategic partner and I&D representative to relevant commercial colleagues e.g. Portfolio Expansion, Marketing, etc.
- Drives portfolio analyses, scenarios and/or heatmaps of EPD’s organic development portfolio and develops informed/crossfunctionally aligned recommendations for prioritization and decision making.
- Provides guidance to crossfunctional ideation and execution teams to ensure adherence to EPD’s defined portfolio management principles and strategic objectives.
- Drives and owns the process to identify, generate, collect and maintain relevant metrics, KPIs and portfolio data for EPD’s worldwide organic portfolio including all EPD business units (India, Latam, Global, EM) and ensures timeliness and data quality.
- Responsible for structuring, building and rolling out strategic projects across I&D Globally and cross
- functionally across EPD, including end to end design, detailing, execution and project management of key projects (e.g. I&D, Divisional, Corporate initiatives), including input to optimal process and organizational design and recommendations around structure and operational set-up
**Core Job Responsibilities**:
**Biosimilars**:
- Drives creation and consolidation of crossfunctional input for biosimilars strategy.
- Oversees ongoing projects and ensures transparent stakeholder information and alignment
- Leads crossfunctional team(s) to collate idea evaluations, development assumptions, strategies and development plans for new projects.
- Secures alignment, transparency and endorsement of development assumptions and strategy from development functions, Regulatory, PV, Operations, IP, Finance, Legal, Commercial, Affiliates, Partners, etc. as required.
- Chairs and leads project teams (meetings, decisions, risk and issue management, etc.) and is a guardian of project team performance, as well as quality and consistency of applied PM and development approaches
- Ensures definition of clear team deliverables and follows-up/secures them
- Brings in additional functional and external expertise to Brand/Project-Team if needed
- Presents project progress and status at Governance Body meetings and raises issues, risks, decision needs to stakeholders and/or Governance Bodies as appropriate
- Ensures that applicable standards are used regarding PM methodology, as well as project team output, e.g. project presentations, monthly progress reports, KPIs and other assessments
- Drives resolution of technical issues/resource constraints through line management and stakeholders, or raises to Governance Bodies
- Contributes actively to the development of the PPM function, including systems, processes, tools and techniques
**Portfolio management**:
- Defines the strategy and objectives for EPD’s global organic portfolio in alignment with I&D leadership and other functions such as Global Marketing.
- Defines and inputs to overall I&D strategy from portfolio perspective and corresponding areas for continuous improvement.
- Defines key metrics and KPIs (including cadence) to track and measure success against defined objectives, and defines and crossfunctionally aligns corresponding portfolio processes, standards, methodologies, tools and techniques.
- Analyzes and develops portfolio scenarios, assesses portfolio gaps, and makes recommendations for portfolio prioritization and decision making. Runs analyses and reports for I&D and EPD senior leadership.
- Implements and trains relevant functions on the process and ensures adherence & data quality.
- Works closely with the Commercial Portfolio Functions and Project Leads in all Business units to ensure alignment and data quality, incl. EPD’s project & portfolio management system (“E2E system”).
- Integrates and analyses also EPD’s inorganic pipeline for appropriate inclusion in I&D strategies and works closely with L&A counterparts on this.
