IS Department Manager Project Management Office, Americas
**Your role and responsibilities**:
ABB global IS Project Management Office (PMO) delivers high-quality IS services for ABB business units around the globe, bringing significant focus on business value-driven innovation and delivery as core competencies. As a IS Program Manager, North America you will primarily be responsible for running ABB’s larger and more complex IS projects, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality are met according to global KPI measurements. - Ensure successful delivery of the IS project; closely collaborating with the business project manager on overall project success and all required project documentation - Plan, schedule, coordinate, and deliver the IS project outcomes to time, scope, cost, and quality - Monitor and control project financials, including oversight of budget consumption and project invoicing - Provide external contractor/consultant engagement management in terms of ensuring execution of the agreed delivery proposal, inclusive of ensuring contract and claims management is by contractual agreements - Ensure appropriate ABB IS Project Management standards, methods, and processes are followed - Proactively work with IS and business leadership to establish project management plans (plan projects, objectives, value/benefits, scope, timeline, resources, cost, and risks) for assigned projects - Ensure consistent project communications, including formal project status reporting on performance against plan and expected business outcomes - Proactively manage project issues and scope changes to minimize the impact on the comprehensive portfolio execution plan
**Qualifications for the role**:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience managing programs and projects; PMP® certification or similar preferred
- Experience leading transformational projects in a global company and within ABB leading large complex business critical global or regional programs and projects
- Experience with SAP Cross-Services, various functions, and modules, including FI/CO focus preferred
- Strong negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skills; ability to negotiate a resolution of controversial issues with businesses and 3rd party suppliers
- Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Project-related travel may be required during specific project phases; up to 40%
- Preferred Location: Cary, NC or Cleveland, OH; US
- Montreal or Brampton, Canada
