Office and Logistics Administrator

For one of our long-standing clients, a financial institution based in the center of Basel, Swisslinx is looking for a Logistics Administration Operator to join the local team on a temporary contract for 1 year. The Logistics team is responsible for Printing services, the Mail office as well as stock management for IT equipment and hardware and internal distribution.

Your Responsibilities:
Correspondence and Mail Office duties:

- Parcel reception and sorting
- Internal distribution and collection of physical mail
- Liaise with external suppliers and internal customers as part of the daily tasks
- Perform administrative tasks related to mail and document handling services: invoicing, statistics, stationery orders etc.
- Preparation and coordination of courier shipments including monitoring of delivery status

IT Hardware Delivery & Stock Management:

- Delivery, distribution of IT hardware stock and inventory in coordination with the IT services team
- Quality checks and statistics of IT hardware inventory data
- Coordination with external suppliers related to IT hardware and equipment

Printing Services (on request):

- Carry out printing of Bank documents, stationary products and business cards
- Provide consultation to internal customers and business units on printing solutions and services

Your Profile and Background:

- At least three years’ professional experience in a logistics administration, office administration or customer service role, mail office
- Experience with processing business correspondence and shipments - physical and digital (e.g. shipping of correspondence, recording, registering/arranging the delivery of shipments etc.)
- Full fluency in English, conversational German (B2 - for external communication)
- Prior experience with SharePoint and/or ServiceNow would be a strong asset
- Able to adapt to changing priorities and available to work according to a shift-based schedule including weekends and public holidays when required (approx. 3-6 days / year)
- Available on short notice (ideal start date is 1st April 2023)
