Reporting to the Electrification Distribution Solutions, Regional Sales & Solutions Director, you will be tasked with developing, implementing and managing the sales strategy for dedicated CoLo Datacentre accounts who are developing projects in the EMEA region.This role is based in Dublin, London or Northern Europe. The CoLo market is showing huge growth and you will be tasked with following associated End User and EPC accounts who are developing projects in the EMEA region. This is very much a customer-facing role will support the specification, pricing and ultimately the winning of key projects in the Datacentre CoLo market. In addition to this, you will be responsible for coordinating sales activities of the Local Sales Organisations to ensure a positive customer experience and successful growth in business volumes and profitability for ABB Electrification Distribution Solutions.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Understand the key drivers and risks for the customers’ business (eg Sustainability / Digital / Cyber Security. Etc) and interprets the impact and opportunity for ABB.
- Leads the development and implementation of the account plan and Share-of-Wallet growth plans.
- Formulates channel strategy into relevant End User accounts.
- Works with relevant partners, EPC’s and End Users to promote and deliver ABB products and Solutions.
- Aligns (where necessary) with the Datacentre Global Account Management (GAM) team to ensure we are effectively interfacing with the customer.
- Collaborates effectively with other divisions within ABB to drive a positive experience for the customer.
- Supports the customer and local Sales organisations in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers.
- Defines and proposes sales targets for the account and ensures their achievement with a structured follow up across Divisions and Countries in EMEA.
- Sells ABB Electrification products / solutions - with a focus on maximizing volumes and exceeding profitability targets.
- Has strong commercial acumen to be able to sell projects profitably whilst mitigating potential risks to ABB.
- Monitors competitor activities in the CoLo market and ensures that ABB operates proactively and reactively to our competition.
- Provide input to market price and technology changes.
**Your background**:
- At least 5 years of commercial experience in high performing sales teams with direct involvement in systems/solutions business and knowledge of the ABB Electrification Distribution Solutions portfolio.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design and execution of commercial plans and strategies within the Datacentre market segment.
- Proven track record in designing and deploying marketing strategies and/or leading and closing large sales deals for Datacentres.
- Ability to lead capture teams effectively, including geographically remote teams.
- Entrepreneurial attitude, excellent communication skills and senior executive presence. Self-driven with networking, collaboration, and intercultural skills.
- Qualification in Engineering and/or Business Administration.
- Existing network of contacts within the Datacentre industry an advantage.
