**Overall Goal**: The overall goal of the role can be summarized as follows:

- In line with Art Basel overall strategy and vision, develop, launch and manage new e-commerce platform
- Provide recommendations and suggestions to the further development of this digital platform

Drive Art Basel new initiatives by identifying and developing new business opportunities and building and expanding the presence of the brand within the digital sphere.
Identify and develop strategically relevant markets, industries and initiatives for Art Basel to explore
- Your responsibilities
- Marketplace_
- Define and implement best practices that support the expansion of the business and the launch of new initiatives within the marketplace platform
- Manage the end-to-end ecommerce website to maxime sales and profit, including site merchandising, content, editorial, promotional calendar, user experience
- Oversee galleries' relationship and onboarding
- Oversee VIP clients' relationship and post sales experience.
- Actively contributing to the growth of the markletplace by working closely with the Director Digital on a strategic development
- Identify, research and develop hypothesis for validation of new business opportunities within the Marketplace platform to elaborate and present business plan
- Development of Business Plans based on your research and data driven analysis of the market
- eProduct Operations_
- Analyzing market trends, consumer preferences, seasonal demands and geographic differences
- Defining customers' profile and discovering
- Developing allocation and replenishment strategies that maximize sales and profitability.
- Work closely with all Art Basel departments as well as MCH relevant support functions in the preparation of business plans linked to new business opportunities.
- Leadership_
- Support to manage budgets, monitor and report digital KPIs
- Acting as valuable deputy of the Director Digital of Art Basel in order to be a competent contact person for internal stakeholders (i.e. other Art Basel Teams) and a role model for other team members
- Responsible for several teams within the digital department and inspire your team members to exceed their goals by being a excellent role model of leadership
- Know your Market/Competitors_
- Ongoing evaluation of emerging trends and initiatives within the field of e-commerce
- Tracking market events and market shifts, which could have an impact on present or future business initiatives of Art Basel
- Track and measure project performance regularly and report to Art Basel's Executive Committee.

**Your profile**:

- 10+ years of professional experience with outstanding track record in managing global ecommerce, digital marketing and customer experience within luxury or art industry.
- University Degree in Business Administration, MBA is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial and business experience focused on creation of new business activities and their successful delivery to market
- Large international business network
- In-depth industry knowledge and passion for cultural and event industries
- Experience in Commercial negotiations, including Partnerships, Joint Ventures, Licence agreements etc.
- Strong commercial skills and ability to identify and lead profitable initiatives
- Strong negotiation skills
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent language skills in English, any additional language is a plus
