About the team you are joining

The Corporate Secretary department plays a critical role in ensuring business continuity, compliance with IATA’s Articles of Association, compliance with local business prerequisites, and in supporting the Corporate Secretary with Board and Annual General Meetings preparations. The department also manages the procedural requirements for IATA membership and supports engagement with prospective members.

While the Corporate Secretary department is a small team, it has exposure to the breadth of IATA’s activities and works on a regular basis with colleagues from other services and from our regional and local offices.

What your day would be like

As intern in IATA’s Corporate Secretary Department, you will support the Assistant Director Governance and Membership with a research project into IATA’s decision-making processes and the evolution of its governance structure since its establishment in 1945.

In addition, you will support the Department with corporate governance and membership processes, giving you an opportunity to acquire first-hand experience in the mechanisms of governance in a global trade association.

You are a Master’s student or recent graduate in a relevant field, with a particular interest in corporate governance and the functioning of global organizations.

You have strong research and analytical skills.

You are organized and meticulous.

Your written and spoken English is excellent.
