Associate Director Scientific Communications

We are looking for a dedicated new Scientific Affairs team member to take the role of Associate Director Scientific Communications pegcetacoplan, starting immediately. This role is a permanent position that will be based or report to the Stockholm Headquarter office, and will report to Emmelie Persson, Senior Director Head of MACS pegcetacoplan

The **Associate Director Scientific Communications pegceacoplan, **drives & executes the Scientific Communication plan of the PNH therapeutic area (TA), with the aim to support the headquarter and affiliate teams with scientific deliverables and tools in accordance with the TA strategy & priorities, while adhering to the highest scientific and ethical standards.

**Tasks include, but are not limited to the following**:

- Drives and executes the **pegcetacoplan Scientific Communications Plan**, including the following deliverables
- External medical/scientific slide decks, including proactive and reactive medical decks
- Internal Scientific Update slide decks on selected topics, including competitor data
- Internal Literature alerts & key take-aways
- Internal Q&A documents, briefing documents, communication guidance documents etc
- Internal training support and e-learning modules
- Internal terminology guidance document
- Other internal and external scientific communication deliverables as needed
- Global congress symposia
- Secures alignment with partner company on scientific communications plans & deliverables
- Pegcetacoplan team contact person for deliverables in the Scientific Communications Plan
- Shared with other members of the pegcetacoplan team:

- Drives product-specific training curricula
- Provides conceptual and tool support to cross-functional projects, including medical/scientific, commercial, and patient access activities: advisory boards, webinars and other educational events, internal training etc.
- Provides scientific input to the development of promotional material driven by the commercial haemophilia team
- Manages the content of the Scientific Affairs folder on the Global Team site

To be successful in these activities, the Associate Director Scientific Communications:

- Will develop and maintain a significant level of knowledge of the PNH therapeutic area and complement inhibitors in general and the other pipeline TAs
- Will develop productive relationships and contributions within the cross-functional headquarter team, as well as with local affiliate offices, and will contribute to the establishment and sharing of best practices within the global MACS team
- Will role model the highest scientific and ethical standards, and work in accordance with applicable rules and regulations with regards to scientific communication activities

**Profile we are looking for**:
**Desired Experiences/Competencies**
- Master degree in Life Sciences (PhD degree is a plus) or Medical degree
- Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry (e.g., Medical Affairs/Scientific Communications/Clinical or Preclinical Sciences etc.)
- Experience within the therapeutic area(s) is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to accurately and effectively evaluate and analyse medical/scientific literature, and demonstrated presentation and communication skills
- Experience and ability to engage with key external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
