Supplier Relationship Director

**Primary Job Function**
The Supplier Relationship Director Director will be tasked to systematically, assesses suppliers’ assets and capabilities with respect to overall Regional business strategy, determine which activities to engage in with different suppliers, and plan and execute key interactions with suppliers and key accounts, in a coordinated fashion across the relationship life cycle, to maximize the value realized through those interactions. This role will also define and shape the overall Regional supplier strategy and relationships through account plans, targets and projects in collaboration with suppliers and functional managers. It will proactively manage and improve Regional Supplier account performance (KPI dashboard) and work closely with key stakeholders in both Corporate and Division organizations to develop effective end to end strategies and execute plans and performance metrics.
**Core Job Responsibilities**
- Directly coordinates and aligns Regional Procurement and TPM activities to ensure adherence and furtherance of the Regional Supplier strategy
- Ensures alignment of other cross functional support functions interfacing with suppliers (e.g. Quality, Technical functions, Legal, IT) to provide “one voice” to the customer in a coordinated manner across the division
- Manages performance of the accounts and team
- Serves as primary point of escalation for issues/KPIs
- Sets targets for the accounts’ KPI dashboards
- Sets goals for KAM Team members with functional heads
- Reviews KPIs with suppliers and internal teams
- Ensures, in partnership with the Global Quality function, implementation of CAPAs
- Communicates changes and issues with suppliers
- Sets resource plans and budgets for the KAM Team
- Major projects required in the upcoming year
- Project and account plans (capacity, saving, changes)
- Writing 3-5 year strategic plans for Key accounts
- Leads and reviews continuous improvement projects
- Leverages extensive market and supplier relationships to enhance margin and elevate financial performance.
- Prioritizes and leads innovation ideas (e.g. Drug delivery systems) in collaboration with suppliers
- Serves as 1st point of escalation if issues cannot be resolved by Direct and indirect functional team members
**Education/Experience**
- _ Bachelor’s degree required or >10 years of relevant work experience in a regulated industry. Masters/MBA preferred. _
- _Minimum 15 years of Procurement/Operations experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment_ (including_ working with contract manufacturers)
- _ Demonstrated skills in _continuous improvement (e.g. lean six sigma) and proficiency in finance_. _
- _Well-developed written, oral and interpersonal skills. _
- _Strong management skills_
