We are seeking a seasoned and experienced individual to join us as the global leader of our Medical Affairs organization. This opportunity presents a unique challenge to establish the global medical affairs function by leveraging the heritage of our product portfolio and establishing a platform for future acquisitions and development projects, while simultaneously building a new, unique culture focused on growth, profitability, and long-term vision. What you can expect from this role is the opportunity to work in a start-up type environment where your position will be broad and hands-on, communication between departments is fast and effective and you will have significant responsibility and autonomy for your work and contribution. Covis is highly acquisitive of both commercial and late-stage development assets in the US, EU, and International.

You describe yourself as self-motivated and proactive in taking initiative. You can work efficiently on your own as well as in cross-functional teams. You have a proven record in defining medical affairs strategies and successfully launching and market products with differentiated medical-scientific positioning.

**SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- With the COO, creation, development, and implementation of medical affairs and patient access strategies across all therapeutics areas and geographies.
- Provide global leadership and oversight of the regional medical teams; serve as a player-coach as required.
- Partner with regional medical affairs teams to ensure medical plans are developed in alignment with global medical strategy.
- Partner with key stakeholders to define operating principles to guide evidence-based medical affairs activities and ensure all activities are compliant with local laws and regulations.
- Identifies, analyze, and prioritize stakeholders for new and existing products.
- Establishing a process to frequently assess an effective global medical affairs field impact.
- Set performance metrics for regional medical teams, ensuring effective execution of regional medical plans in alignment with global medical strategy.
- Provide medical expertise as needed to assist in the development and execution of compliant commercial activities.
- Represent global medical affairs at the Global Leadership Team and contribute to the development of regional strategy.
- Partner with M&A team and clinical trial functions to provide medical affairs input on new targets, clinical trial design and support clinical trial enrollment.
- Supports due diligence efforts as required by the business development team in evaluating qualitatively and quantitively acquisition opportunities.

**FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**:

- Strong understanding of the medical affairs environment, including launch excellence, field hybrid excellence, digital capabilities, and medical analytics.
- Command of medical affairs dynamics by geography with ability to translate into medical-scientific differentiation and market impact.
- Experience managing clinical stage programs and with NDA/MAA submissions/approval processes is a plus.
- High working ethics and integrity.
- Ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of external stakeholders and represent Covis’ interests towards third parties.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with outstanding communication and collaboration skills.

- Strong cross-functional mindset and experience in matrix management.
- Entrepreneurial spirit; comfortable with rapid change, resource constraints, and the need to be flexible about roles.
- Strong understanding of the medical affairs environment, including launch excellence and field hybrid excellence.
