**Role Description**: Under the overall guidance and supervision of the senior humanitarian advisor, the Reporting & IM Specialist will support the 6 pilot HRP country offices in the context of the project on humanitarian global data standards, contributing to quality assurance on the development and roll out of the data platform, and the development of the tools within the toolkit. The IM specialist will support the following activities

**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the development of a humanitarian results data toolkit for access challenged humanitarian settings
- Support the process of identification of features for the best fit humanitarian data platform
- Global humanitarian indicators for UNFPA: provide technical inputs and review of Humanitarian Action Overview indicators master list.
- Ensure active engagement with IM colleagues
- Represent UNFPA in the Information Management Working Group to advocate for data standards, participate in community of practice, stay up to date on the developments of assessments and advocate to publish datasets
- Assist the Country Offices in analyzing and identifying trends for planning and course correction.
- Develop and contribute to rapid assessments and monitoring tools on risks and needs of affected populations.
- Monitor, analyze and disseminate trends and risk assessments of the response.
- Collect and analyze data and information related to the emergency response, including geo-referencing data,
- Conduct review of indicators and metrics under strategic plan.
- Conduct regular response progress and gaps analysis, visualize and report analysis findings to inform decision making for resource mobilization, funding and/or advocacy.
- Develop disaggregated information products on operationally relevant themes, including location and condition of the affected population, and factors affecting access to affected populations.
- Organize and archive data and information on operationally relevant themes for high-risk areas.
- Conduct capacity building surveys among partners in different relevant thematic areas
- Provide technical guidance to build and strengthen the national/local capacity in information management and exchange and promote the transfer and use of local knowledge.
- Create maps, dashboards and reports to effectively communicate information to decision-makers.
- Collaborate, within the UNFPA, with all other specialists/analysts, including external relations and communication analysts to ensure the smooth implementation of tasks above for the response.
- Undertake any other related responsibility as may be required by the country office senior management.

**Qualifications & Required Skills**
- Advanced degree in statistics, computer/data science or other relevant fields.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in information management and monitoring data with at least 3 years of professional experience in database design and maintenance.
- Good knowledge of and experience working in humanitarian data management.
- Good knowledge of Humanitarian Assistance Reporting standard in data sourcing, cartographic presentation and geographic information system analysis
- Experience in humanitarian response.
- Experience of defining and monitoring performance indicators is an asset
- Experience of "monitoring and evaluation" of projects is an asset.
- Proficiency in English required. Russian is an asset.
