Global Head Web3 Strategy

This role can be based anywhere commutable to an adidas office globally.- PURPOSE
Lead the creation, development, and conceptualization of the Web3 strategy with targets and objectives to achieve these strategies.- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Content Strategy & Guidelines
- Create and supervise the development of the token economy / Web3 strategy, framework and guidelines to ensure premium Web3 content creation for all campaigns and products
- Create and implement a governance roadmap for Web3 research
- Identifying growth opportunities, business model innovation, and facilitating cross-business unit initiatives
- Identify internal and external strategic issues and opportunities that could affect growth and profitability of the organization
- Generate insights and framework on measurements and analytics for the token economy strategy
- Monitor medium to long-term business trends/outlooks, gathering competitive intelligence to contribute to strategic business planning discussions with leadership
- Identify and develop optimal revenue models, sales/distribution channels, pricing, and new product development strategies
- Prioritize and track investments across new Web3 development initiatives
- Optimization
- Set Metaverse P&L targets and KPIs in close alignment with Finance
- Evaluating and financial modeling of potential merger, acquisition, divestment, partnership, and joint venture opportunities
- Identify and minimize strategic risks regarding Web3 plans and ensure risks are transparent to internal and external stakeholders
- Communication
- Lead and oversee the communication of Web3 strategy plans across global parties and markets, providing transparency on deliverables and timelines and set clear briefs and targets
- Be the key contact on Web3 strategy to senior management functions within Global Brands
- Oversee and orchestrate the head office management for the Web3 organization
- People Management
- Build the appropriate structure to be able to manage the respective organization effectively, identify and develop the future talents and create realistic succession scenarios for key positions
- Ensure appropriate leadership skills are present at every level by creating a motivational and supportive work environment in which employees are coached, trained and provided with career opportunities through development
- Continuously monitor and evaluate team workload and organizational efficiency with the support of IT systems, data and analysis and team feedback and make appropriate changes in order to meet business needs

- Broad knowledge of blockchain and crypto landscape
- Active participation in Web3 communities
- Active experience in trading and / or launching projects preferred
- Proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional projects, ideally with Marketing, Sales or Operations experience
- Ability to think strategically, anticipate and define problems, synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions, but at the same time also strong in executing
- Proven project management skills
- High degree of commercial and business acumen
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and facilitation (small and large groups) skills
- Ability to deliver effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to diverse audiences
- Ability to manage through change, make decisions and act comfortably with risk and uncertainty
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to adapt quickly when required
- QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree (Diploma, Master or MBA) in Marketing or Business Administration
- Minimum 10-12 years of relevant working experience, covering Marketing
- Proven track record of establishing credible strategies provoking innovation and entrepreneurial outputs
- Minimum 8 years of experience in leading a team (people as well as strategic leadership) in a large sales organization
- Preferable working experience in the sports or clothing industry
- Preferable cross-cultural, global experience outside of home country
