In the role of the Chemical process development Group leader you manage one of the process development teams of Lonza Biopharma Visp, Chemical Services, which is responsible for process development, optimization of chemical processes and production support in standard & HAPI lab, SSP, LP, and FCC. The process development team comprises of approx. 15 development scientists, project leaders and lab technicians in several lab assets of the Chemical Development Services department in Visp.
**Key responsibilities**:
- You are responsible for direction, coordination, execution, control and completion of specific process development, optimization, and production programs.
- You ensure that the personnel and assets deliver high quality development and manufacturing services to customers within the agreed timelines and costs
- You ensure to maintain a safe environment.
- You also ensure consistency with the company commitments and goals
- You are a member of the Lonza Visp Chemical Services management team.
**Key requirements**:
- You have an university degree (PhD or MSc) in chemistry and more than 10 years’ industry experience
- Proven knowledge of cGMP compliance requirements.
- Good understanding of business processes are as important as several years' experience of effective leadership in complex teams.
- You have the ability to communicate effectively, collaborate and foster positive interactions with team members and stakeholders.
- The ability to work across different departments and with customers is one of your strengths
- You are fluent both in English and German
