**Role Overview**:
For our FAS Medic SA site in Switzerland, we are looking for dedicated **Operational Buyer / Material Planner **to join our team in our factory of Palézieux, Switzerland. This role is pivotal in managing the flow of goods between suppliers and the factory whilst maintaining effective and proper relation with the suppliers and their representative. He/she will be responsible for suppliers On time Delivery and stock levels.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Place purchase orders with vendors based upon forecast and production planning
- Track and take continuous improvement actions for the Supply Chain KPIs (OTD and Stock levels)
- Ensure the demand for materials is met and deliveries are made on time.
- Ensure that planning data (policies and parameters) on the ERP system are accurate and continuously adapted to current scenarios
- Understand and manage risks to avoid any impact on the production planning.
- Take follow up actions in relations to material shortages that can affect the production KPIs.
- Be part of challenging projects and act as the stakeholder of several improvements.
**Critical Competencies for Success**
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or procurement; or degree equivalent
- 3 to 5 years experience in a similar function
- Worked previously with an ERP, good knowledge of Excel
- Ability to work in a team and at ease to work with cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter, willing to take ownership.
- Proactive and able to work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written) is mandatory for effective communication with our diverse suppliers.
- **Eligibility to work in Switzerland i**s mandatory.
