For our site in Visp, we are searching for Strategic Buyer - Advanced Chemicals. In this role, you will manage procurement activities for a defined Business Unit Small Molecules-API (Active Pharma Ingredients) Raw Materials portfolio and support SM-API category strategies implementation in Visp.

Key responsibilities:

- Negotiate and contract the assigned SM-API (Small Molecules-Active Pharma Ingredients) portfolio specific for Visp by delivering measurable value and competitive procurement prices, etc
- Ensure business continuity for assigned portfolio for SM-API Visp site by assessing the supply base and identifying risks of supply disruption or competitiveness gaps as well as proposing risk management strategies
- Conduct Global Market Research on manufacturing supply bases and their associated drivers and trends
- Monitor SM-API Visp site specific supplier performance in collaboration with the SM-DS (Drug Substance) Supply Chain Operational Buyer
- Manage Site Stakeholders (Operations, Supply Chain, Quality etc)
- Procurement related site activities: complete and maintain SAP, validate orders and contracts aligned with potential site specific procedures etc

Key requirements:

- University Degree (BSc) in Chemistry/ Economics/SCM/Procurement or similar
- Advanced experience within category management/Procurement in pharma/life sciences industry or similar
- English is required, fluency in German
- Acts and behaves as a role model to leverage entire organization
