Accountable for supporting the Global Head of Strategy & Operations - Trial Management (TM) in the planning, integration and translation of Trial Management’s strategic framework (5 year plan) into transformative business deliverables with rigor, speed and quality.
Identifies, aligns and executes on all functional / organizational efficiencies across Trial Management’s Global Support Services (RMO, CoE, ISO, and DGMT), for joint value creation to accelerate portfolio and functional deliverables. Responsible for sustainable pull
- through of key activities with TM Head, Development Unit Heads, and Global Support Services (GSS) heads.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to Trial Management’s 5 year strategic planning exercise with other GDO functions (GDOi, TBO) in alignment with Head of TM and TMLT

2. Provides stakeholder buy
- in and management of Trial Management’s vision and strategy across (GDD / GDO / Up to DCN) to effectively accelerate functional activities with proactive risk mitigation

3. Aligns, promotes and champions Trial Management’s contributions to Global Development Operations (GDO’s) functional and cultural priorities (e.g. pilot new GDO wide operational enchantments (Horizon, RDI) as well as support joint deliverables and actively seeking saleable synergies.

4. Represents TM holistically at all Global Development Operations (GDO) level resource meetings as well as applicable GDO functional meetings (i.e. GDO Strategic Resource Alignment Meetings, Work Package Alignment meetings, GDO Head of Strategy Ops. Meetings, TBO VDO, GOLF, GDO Up Program, etc. ).

5. Contributes to Trial Management’s strategic work force planning, including financial controlling and meeting annual budget targets. Provides consolidated latest estimates on current year budget and future year planning budget, including internal costs. Identifies
risks/issues and provides mitigation plans to facilitate decision-making by management
and works closely with Business Finance Officer and finance heads as applicable.

6. Provides resource management expertise to TM management to drive resource gap
analysis from operational and strategic viewpoints to secure sufficient resources, and facilitates
resource deployment and re-allocation across functions supported by predictive resource algorithms and productivity ratios.

7. Creates agile and adaptive organizational / resource utilization structure through utilization and management of talent resourcing pools with internal rotations from operations, innovation, trial delivery, global support services, and special projects in alignment with individual development needs, to align talent and capabilities with resourcing for productivity gains. Ensure strategic resourcing needs of global support functions optimized
for efficient delivery of objectives.

8. Manages the holistic End-to-End resource strategy, aligned with: portfolio needs, GDOi offerings, internal / external (Bought in Service) resources as well as best fit talent proposals on transformative projects (non drug projects).

9. Partners with external providers to strategically align the optimal resource strategy (IQVIA - BiS). Capitalizes on current offerings and explores additional role synergies with IQVIA in alignment with GDOi on digital, productivity and innovation capabilities within IQVIAs portfolio (i.e. concierge, patient support services, foot print optimization etc.)

10. Aligns with Early Pricing for increased line of sight for early portfolio and/or business alignment agreements (license agreements) to determine best-fit resourcing model of either external or internal operations support. Ensure best practices, internal & external costs, including innovation costs are holistically aligned at early pricing.

11. Partner with TBO Key Account Manager (KAM) for unified objective setting, tracking and single interface alignment with productivity metrics through the design/deployment of a TM Dashboard, to be adapted based on business needs. Sets demand forecast for
portfolio and functional deliverables. Evaluates internal/external metrics for TM with TBO KAM.

12. Partners with TBO and Oversees successful implementation of GDO novel pilots on resource utilization (Horizon named resources, NERVE demand algorithm) while sharing learning loops and best practices with other GDO functions

13. Leads the update and continuous management of the TM resource algorithm to ensure inclusion of key resource complexity drivers and exceptions, aligned with G
