It is a truly international community with more than 140 different nationalities among the 2000 day and 200 boarding students. They come together on a green, village-like campus covering 8 hectares.

Students follow international and national curricula, with English, French and Bilingual programmes. They go on to leading universities around the world.

**Main purpose of the role**

As a Physical Education / Sports Teacher at Collège du Léman, you are responsible for the management of classes by creating a safe and dynamic learning environment, a positive class approach in which students are encouraged to pursue their interests and to have positive experiences that will lead to healthy and lifelong participation in physical activities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Teach/Coach extracurricular activities
- Provide structured lessons by maintaining a stable pace, motivation and stimulation
- Maintain discipline in accordance with school procedures and encourage good practices in terms of punctuality, behaviour, working standards and duties
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing Professional Development:

- Evaluate one’s own teaching to improve its effectiveness
- Stay up to date on the latest teaching methods and skills
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver coherent units of work
- Communicate and consult with parents as appropriate
- Organise and participation in special events / competition teams.

**Skills and Competencies**

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in P.E. or related field
- Relevant teaching experience in primary/elementary, middle and/or high school
- Advanced coaching experience and skills in football and basketball - volleyball is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within the School and Athletics Team
- International and independent school experience preferred
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, knowledge of social media, and advanced administrative skills
- High level of both French and English

- Possess patience and extensive knowledge of all areas of physical education and sports
- Commitment to excellence within our school and department
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of interactive methodologies/teaching strategies
- Vigorously follow the School’s and Athletics department’s guidelines and curriculum
- Impeccable integrity, nurturing, can-do attitude, flexibility, and willingness to adapt to irregular working hours
- Understanding of and commitment to childhood social, emotional, cultural, and intellectual development within an international school
- Driving licence for minibuses is a plus.
