**Main Purpose of the Role**

To provide high caliber cello lessons to students enrolled in the after-school music programme.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Tutor and encourage students from age 7 - 18
- Teach all aspects of musicianship and encourage and engage students in progressive practice habits demonstrating appropriate techniques
- Liaise with parents & boarding tutors
- Perform any reasonable duties as requested by the Head of Performing Arts.

**Skills and Competencies**

You have a recognized cello teaching diploma. As a high-level performer, you have excellent cello skills combined with an experience in delivering outstanding music opportunities and lessons. You have a prior knowledge of Associated Board of the Royal School of Music examinations.***

You are enthusiast, energetic, able to motivate, challenge and inspire. You have great interpersonal and communication skills. You have a kind and caring nature and are able to build positive relationships.

Languages required: Advanced English required; good French would be an advantage.
