**Main Purpose of the Role**

To provide guitar lessons after school to the CDL Students enrolled in the CDL Music programs

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Tutor students from age 7 - 18
- Encourage and engage students in progressive practice habits
- Teach all aspects of musicianship, including scales/arpeggios, aural, sight reading and repertoire.
- Take responsibility for teaching guitar practical exams. Grades 1-8 (eg. ABRSM or TRINITX)
- Liaise with parents & boarding tutors
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills and Competencies**
- Recognized guitar teaching diploma
- Teaching students to a high standard
- Excellent guitarist skills
- Knowledge of Associated Board of the Royal School of Music examinations.
- Commitment to Music Education
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to inspire
- Languages required: Advanced English required, good French would be an advantage.
