Our dedicated Meetings & Events experts across Europe have been delivering seamless and inspiring services to our global partners for more than 100 years. Knowing that no two events are the same, we are proud to provide both tailored end-to-end event management solutions and single services upon request.

**About the Role**:

- Driving the MICE strategy for Switzerland, challenge the status quo and develop the brand across Switzerland
- Create, plan and deliver large-scale events for a variety of foreign clients across the year
- Manage a team of 4 MICE Project Managers ensuring standards are met and the team are performing
- Developing domestic market working with cooperate companies & partners
- Promoting destination Switzerland on various trade shows (example: IMEX or IBTM) and other local events
- Market mapping, ensuring we are aware of changing market dynamics and keep an edge over competition
- Proposal creation and pitch, when required
- Supplier management prior, during and after the event
- Negotiating with third parties to maximize value creation
- Client and account management to ensure repeat business
- Onsite management of the event
- Budget management of a large budget and post event reconciliation

**Essential requirements**:

- Previous experience/working knowledge in the MICE industry for at least 5-7 years as a Head of MICE or within MICE industry
- Fluent in English and German. Written and verbal language skills are essential.
- Deep knowledge of the Switzerland territory and what it can offer in terms of MICE services
- Influential, able to guide stakeholders and team members
- A track record of delivering results and managing a team to achieve targets
- A strong network of clients and suppliers in MICE industry in Switzerland
- Passionate about their job and the fast-paced event industry
- A natural curiosity for the hospitality environment and the passion to share their enthusiasm & knowledge
- Strong team management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm in delivering outstanding results
- The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a complex environment
- The ability to run a number of different events in parallel and manage a wide range of third parties
