Based in the Morges region, this site specializes in advanced medical device manufacturing. We are looking for an Equipment Development Engineer to lead the design, automation integration, and qualification of production equipment for high-precision medical devices.Your RoleYou will combine technical expertise with project management to deliver robust, compliant, and cost-effective equipment solutions. This position involves cross‑functional collaboration, supplier management, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure equipment reliability and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & DevelopmentLead the design and development of specialized manufacturing equipment.Define and validate User Requirement Specifications (URS) aligned with business needs.Establish equipment architecture standards (hardware, safety, ergonomics, automation).Collaborate with external manufacturers and integrators for equipment build and customization.Integrate reliability and maintainability principles early in the design phase.Project & Supplier ManagementManage the full lifecycle of equipment acquisition projects: concept to commissioning.Control scope, budget, timelines, and risks for successful delivery.Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.Provide regular project updates to stakeholders.Validation & TestingPlan and lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).Oversee qualification protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) for new equipment.Ensure compliance with regulatory, performance, and safety requirements.Automation & Process ImprovementDefine and implement automation strategies (PLCs, robotics, vision systems, HMIs).Conduct risk analyses (e.g., FMEA) for robust equipment performance.Drive process optimization to improve cycle times and reduce costs.Maintenance ExcellenceEmbed preventive and predictive maintenance strategies into equipment design.Standardize best practices across sites and functions.Documentation & ComplianceMaintain complete documentation for all equipment lifecycle stages.Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP standards.Support audits with technical expertise.What You BringBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related field.5+ years of experience in equipment development, automation, or manufacturing engineering.Strong project management skills (supplier and budget management).Expertise in automation systems: PLCs, HMIs, robotics, sensors, vision systems.Knowledge of equipment qualification processes (URS, FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ).Familiarity with GMP, ISO, FDA regulatory standards.PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.24‑month Fixed‑Term Contract.Up to 20% (suppliers, other sites, commissioning activities).Branche: ChemieindustrieFunktion: Produktion #J-18808-Ljbffr
