The International School of Lausanne (ISL) is a leading not-for-profit, International Baccalaureate (IB) World School set in the French speaking part of Switzerland. Our school is committed to excellence in education. We strive to recognise the unique potential of each student, and to equip them to play an active and responsible role in a complex, multicultural world. The school employs approximately 250 members of staff on its campus where we welcome approximately 900 students from over 60 nationalities, from 3 to 18 years of age.

We are seeking an exceptional teacher who will bring energy, creativity, and a commitment to excellence to our team.

Contract: Two-year contract from 1 August 2025

We are a dynamic and internationally diverse Primary School with 300 students representing 52 countries and speaking 36 languages. Our 45 passionate educators are driven by a shared goal: to inspire a love of learning and foster personal growth in each student.

About You: You are an inspirational teacher who believes in the power of education to transform lives. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are dedicated to creating engaging, student-focused learning experiences.

Qualifications and Qualities desired:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (graduate or postgraduate level)
  • Strong understanding of Early Years pedagogy with knowledge of philosophies such as Reggio Emilia
  • Proven experience of both collaborative planning and teaching
  • A minimum of three years’ proven teaching experience with three to six year old children
  • High proficiency in English (C1/C2 minimum); the ability to also teach in French is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) is a significant advantage
  • Knowledge or experience of forest school practice is an advantage
  • A proven ability to design lessons that motivate and inspire students to learn
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity; experience in an international environment is highly valued
  • Adaptability, flexibility, dynamism and a sense of humour
  • The ability to meet high expectations of students, colleagues and a professional parent community
  • Excellent ICT skills with the ability to use technology to enhance learning
  • A commitment to self-reflection and professional development
