We are seeking an exceptional teaching assistant who can bring energy, creativity, and a commitment to excellence to our team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting small group and individual instruction under the guidance of a class teacher, reinforcing learning concepts.
  • Supervising students in various school settings, including classrooms, school grounds, and during trips.
  • Preparing teaching materials and resources and encouraging adherence to the school’s values and expectations.
  • Monitoring student progress through observation and updating digital portfolios.
  • Assisting with all curricular activities including swimming, ice skating, and forest school.
  • Participating in collaborative planning sessions and differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Attending staff meetings, professional development sessions, and serving on committees as needed.

Qualifications and Qualities desired:

  • A CFC as an Assistant(e) Socio-Éducatif(ve) (ASE) or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in supporting Early Childhood education.
  • Strong understanding of Early Childhood pedagogy.
  • Experience working in a bilingual environment, with the ability to adapt to students from diverse linguistic backgrounds is a strong asset.
  • Fluency in French would be an advantage.
  • An understanding of phonological awareness and the ability to support phonics teaching.
  • Highly collaborative, able to work effectively with a wide range of colleagues and professionals.
  • Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to take initiative and solve problems.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work across different age groups within Early Childhood education.
