We are partnering with a leading commodities trading firm in Zurich to appoint a senior Compliance Manager (Director-level). This role will deputise for the Head of Compliance and act as a key advisor to senior leadership. The position requires deep expertise across AML, Sanctions, Regulatory Compliance, and governance frameworks. You will help shape, strengthen, and embed the firm’s compliance standards. This is a strategic opportunity for a seasoned compliance professional within a fast‑paced trading environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of compliance frameworks and controls. Advise senior management and C‑Suite stakeholders on regulatory requirements and emerging risks. Oversee AML, Sanctions, and regulatory compliance activities aligned with Swiss and international standards. Draft, review, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and guidance documents. Conduct risk assessments, monitoring, and thematic reviews with appropriate escalation. Support and deputise for the Head of Compliance, contributing to the team’s strategic direction. Engage with external regulators, auditors, and relevant industry bodies. Deputise for the Head of Compliance as required. Experience Required Extensive expertise in AML, Sanctions, Regulatory Compliance, and compliance control development in Switzerland. Strong background in commodities trading or commodity trade finance. Ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders, including C‑Suite. Proven experience in policy drafting and leading compliance programmes at senior level. Strong understanding of Swiss regulatory frameworks and international compliance standards. Excellent communication and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
