DSJ Global are currently searching a Head Of Supply Chain, to join one of our clients in the Zurich. Boasting a global portfolio of well-respected B2B products, this manufacturer supplies some of the largest multinationals in the world. They are currently searching for an established leader to head one of their critical divisions across multiple product groups in Europe.

You will be a key driver in orchestrating efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations. Your role will be crucial in developing and executing strategies (both across the serial production and R&D businesses) that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure a seamless flow of materials and products. We are looking for a dynamic leader with a strong background in change management to champion operational excellence, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Supply Chain Leadership:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals and market dynamics
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing supply chain team, providing guidance and fostering a culture of excellence
  • Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure a seamless flow of materials and products
  • Lead the international team of 12 FTE

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment:

  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Sales, to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes
  • Foster alignment and communication across departments to ensure a unified approach to supply chain management

Strategic Sourcing Management:

  • Spearhead strategic sourcing efforts, negotiating and closing contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability
  • Collaborate with the R&D to align sourcing strategies with innovative product development
  • Take charge of commodity management, ensuring efficient handling of critical materials and contributing to the development and execution of the company's Supply Chain Strategy
  • Utilize data-driven analyses and statistics to inform and support strategic planning initiatives

Qualifications/Skills Needed:

  • Proven track record as a leader in supply chain and procurement operations
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful supply chain strategies
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing, logistics, and inventory management – particularly within a project/R&D environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for culturing a win-win mindset, across teams
  • Results-driven and adaptable to changing business environments
