Deciphera, a member of ONO, is a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing important new medicines to improve the lives of people with cancer. We are leveraging our proprietary switch-control kinase inhibitor platform and deep expertise in kinase biology to develop a broad portfolio of innovative medicines.

Enabled by our proprietary drug discovery platform, Deciphera has developed a diverse pipeline of wholly-owned drug candidates. QINLOCK (ripretinib) is Deciphera’s switch control inhibitor developed for the treatment of fourth-line GIST. QINLOCK is approved in multiple regions including Australia, Canada, China, the European Union, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United States, and the United Kingdom. We wholly own QINLOCK and all of our drug candidates with the exception of a development and commercialization out-license agreement for QINLOCK in Greater China. In addition to QINLOCK, we have identified and advanced multiple product candidates from our platform into clinical studies, including vimseltinib and DCC-3116.

We are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager International to serve as the finance business partner to the entire International Business (Commercial, Medical, Tech Ops, General & Administrative, etc.) and support the growth and expansion of Deciphera in Europe and beyond. The FP&A Manager will be responsible for monthly close and reporting activities and partnering with business owners to develop quarterly reforecasts and annual budget.

This position will report to the Head of Finance, International and be located in the Zug office.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with budget owners to provide value-added financial analysis and support of business reviews and decisions from the financial perspective, including operational efficiency and cost saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with budget owners to build annual budget and quarterly reforecasts for external expenses.
  • Drive month-end close activities by working closely with the International Business including Commercial and Medical teams as well as the accounting group to develop accruals and improve accrual processes.
  • Manage the Board of Directors approved annual budget, including facilitating tradeoff discussions in collaboration with other FP&A team members as business priorities change.
  • Independently lead analysis of financial results versus plan and forecasts, investigations of significant variances, and communication of findings to departments, program teams, and senior management.
  • Develop fit-for-purpose reporting that enables the International Team to deliver the best business outcome. Review and approve purchase orders to ensure adherence to the approved budget.
  • Proactively identify areas for operational efficiencies and lead change management and process improvement activities.
  • Conduct Ad-Hoc finance projects as required.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a multinational company.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis experience in a commercial biotech or pharmaceutical company preferred.
  • Experience in a growth stage company in an International environment.
  • Independently motivated, strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to combine attention to detail with big picture perspective.
  • Well-developed collaboration and communication skills are a must.
  • Excellent organizational skills, sufficient to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Advanced financial systems knowledge – Oracle Fusion and Financial Planning tool (Adaptive Planning) experience.
  • Fluent in English; other main European languages preferred.
