The Role

The Product Manager, Consumer Health plays a key role in developing Commercial strategy for Klockner Pentaplast’s Consumer Health (Medical Device and Consumer Packaging) business in EMEA. Specifically, The Product Manager, Consumer Health collaborates cross-functionally with teams across the EMEA region in executing a broad range of programs including strategic planning, strategic marketing, new product development, pricing, portfolio management, product marketing, cost out, and specification maintenance.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Executes product strategy for the Consumer Health portfolio (Medical Device and Consumer Packaging) in EMEA including new product development, commercialization, and product marketing.
  • Contributes to the development of the mid-term strategic plan for the Consumer Health sector and collaborates with functional leaders across EMEA to execute.
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as Sales, Applications, Quality, and Operations to develop new Consumer Health packaging films responsive to customer needs, shifting regulatory requirements, and company revenue and margin objectives.
  • Internal subject matter expert on Consumer Health markets, product line strategies, individual product specifications, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Conducts market analysis to gather and prioritize customer requirements and unmet needs for current and future product development.
  • Provides product line expertise with respect to competitor’s product offerings and relative share of demand as well as produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors.
  • Convert changes in product and regulatory requirements into implications for the customer, market, and kp.
  • Portfolio performance management including the rationalization of products based on volume and margin thresholds.
  • Collaborates with Procurement, Materials Technology, and Operations to identify and execute product cost-out opportunities.
  • Development and maintenance of all technical product documentation, including Product Specifications and Technical Data Sheets (TDS).
  • Management of new Product Specification Requests (PSR) and non-standard price quotes within Salesforce.
  • Facilitates, in conjunction with the Marketing and Communications teams, promotional activities including, but not limited to, Trade shows, Technical Symposia, Association presentations, as well as case histories, technical articles, communication briefs for all new products in the product line.
  • Works closely with Marketing staff to provide product-specific content for print and electronic advertising campaigns, and product literature, presentations and sales tools, as well as product positioning ideas for trade show strategy development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S. - in business, marketing, sciences or engineering); and three to five years’ experience in related Industry; MBA is a plus.
  • Industry experience in Medical Device or related markets required.
  • Experience with product management or technical or innovation projects in a manufacturing company.
  • Ability to analyze various data with Excel, especially Pivot functions.
  • Ability to develop and deliver professional, clear, and crisp presentations on a wide range of topics.
  • Ability to communicate, open-mindedly, to be part of a cross-functional global team.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics.
  • Fluent language skills in English.
  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people from multiple cultures and at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable working both strategically and tactically, including the ability to quickly transition from one to the other.
  • A well-organized, self-directed individual able to rapidly change priorities based on the needs of the business and who is able to balance “urgent” with “important”.
  • A technically interested person who enjoys working cross-functionally.
  • A decisive individual who possesses a "big picture" perspective.
  • Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
