Rising investments in the pharmaceutical industry, increasing regulatory requirements for medical products, and the recent successful launch of vaccines based on mRNA technology related to COVID-19 have led to a global increase in demand for high-precision nanoparticle analytical solutions.

In this context, we are seeking a dynamic individual to join us as a Full Stack Software Engineer to further develop our user-friendly software suite. This suite enables our end-users to perform measurements, as well as store and manage the collected experimental data.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Maintaining and adding new features to the main company software (e.g., adding new types of data treatment, exporting data and data analysis results in PDF reports, and so on).
  • Participating in the development of software architectures and the selection of technologies
  • Providing customer support at the third level of support
  • Documentation, versioning, and release
Your profile

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar, and be capable of working independently in cross-disciplinary teams. She/He should be able to contribute to the team effort as well as be self-motivated and proactive in concluding her/his assigned tasks according to the company goals. She/he should possess the following technical skills:

  • C#/WPF
  • Object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • GUI design and software usability
  • Object Relational Mapping
  • Source control
  • A good command of English, and French is advantageous
  • Swiss/EU citizenship or valid working permit for Switzerland

Experience in one or several of the following areas is advantageous:

  • Experience working in an agile environment (SCRUM)
  • RESTful and WebSocket service architectures
  • Numerical computation and data treatment
  • Hardware communication and instrument control

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join us as a Technical Sales Manager to drive further overall company growth and provide territory responsibilities for direct and partner sales in Europe. This position involves up to 25% travel within Europe and occasional (10%) intercontinental travel.

Your role and responsibilities include:
  • Manage direct and partner sales activities in Europe
  • Visit customer sites to give sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Lead on-site exhibition and other marketing event execution including representation of company products and services
  • Lead virtual and in-house product demonstrations
  • Use, maintain, and improve our CRM and sales processes
  • Exceed sales goals and provide regular reporting and insights
  • Lead webinars and other virtual marketing event planning and execution
  • Collaborate on marketing campaigns and content creation
  • Understand customer needs, develop market insights, and provide feedback and guidance to the product management team
  • Support the identification of marketing opportunities and create strategies to increase engagement
Your profile

The ideal candidate will have a MS in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, physics, bioengineering, or similar, and have multiple years of experience in an analytical science role, including at least 3 years of technical sales experience. The candidate will be capable of working both independently and collaboratively in cross-disciplinary teams. They should be able to positively contribute to the team effort as well as be self-motivated and proactive in concluding their assigned tasks according to the company goals.

Required skills:
  • Experience using and reporting from a modern CRM
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to adapt positively to change and proactively contribute to new processes and content development
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and exercise sound independent judgement to efficiently advance on the most critical next steps
  • Strong and confident public speaking and presentation skills and adept at influencing others
  • Strong professional communication skills including excellent written and spoken English; French and/or German fluency is advantageous
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Swiss/EU citizenship or valid working permit for Switzerland
  • Valid Passport and driver’s license
Experience in one or several of the following areas is advantageous:
  • Working in a smaller company
  • Rheology and/or particle size characterization
  • Managing one or more employees
