Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a multidisciplinary team providing inpatient treatment programs for children ages 12-18 with a variety of psychological and somatic health concerns.
The international and multicultural interdisciplinary team includes somatic, psychiatric and integrative physicians, psychotherapists, nurses, nutritionists and a variety of other complementary therapies and educators. The child and adolescent psychiatrist will take the lead on the psychiatric part of the treatment and, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensure the highest quality standard for the treatment plan as well as long-term follow-up plans and goals.
Responsibilities:- Work as a key member of the psychiatric team.
- Provide psychiatric management for children and adolescents during their treatment programs.
- Conduct thorough, comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment planning.
- Ensure that all necessary examinations, referrals, diagnostics, indicated treatments and follow-up visits are carried out.
- Build a strong therapeutic relationship with clients to ensure the highest quality and utmost professionalism at all times.
- Collaborate with external professionals in Zurich and worldwide to ensure smooth and seamless patient-centered psychiatric care for each client.
- Drive a unique, collaborative, 360-degree approach to care in collaboration with the internal somatic and integrative medicine teams.
- Stay current on evidence-based practices and new treatment approaches.
- Specialist title in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy from Switzerland or an EU/EFTA country (ideally already recognised by MEBEKO).
- It is an advantage if you already have a license to practice in Zurich, but assistance with licensing can also be provided.
- Several years of experience working with children and adolescents in a hospital and/or outpatient setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent English skills (C1 level and above) are required. Knowledge of German at least B2 level is mandatory (requirement by the authorities).
- Any additional language would be an advantage.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and good IT skills.
- A class B driving license would be an advantage.
