Job Title: Technical Lead

Languages Required: French and English Advanced

Work Arrangement: Hybrid Remote - 3 days a week in office, 2 days remote

Job Description:

  • Degree from an EPF, HES, university degree, or equivalent training.
  • At least five years of experience as a technical lead in the IT field.
  • Solid expertise in back-end development (Java, Spring).
  • Expertise in front-end development (AngularJS, Angular), and modern Software Factories (VCS, CI, CD).
  • Good knowledge of modern infrastructure (Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Good knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle and PostgreSQL).
  • Good knowledge of Agile principles with, ideally, practical experience in Scrum.
  • Knowledge of Informatica or other ETL tool is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus.
  • Team spirit and analytical skills in the context of complex software architecture; rigor and autonomy.
  • Good stress resistance and ability to manage priorities and work on various topics.
  • Proficiency in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and proposing innovative, high-performance, and efficient solutions in close collaboration with development teams and business analysts.
  • Participating in all phases of development, from initial requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, ensuring the technical design of implementations complies with T&O standards.
  • Coordinating the development efforts of technical teams based in Luxembourg/Portugal, adhering to best practices and Agile values (Scrum).
  • Providing Level 2 and 3 support for applications developed within the service, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
  • Documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other relevant technical documentation.
  • Managing release processes to ensure smooth transitions and deployments.
  • Overseeing migrations that involve architectural changes.
  • Ensuring that the change management process is applied for any changes in production.
  • Defining development processes and establishing code review guidelines to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
  • Providing coaching and mentorship to team members to foster skill development and team cohesion.
  • Engaging in product management activities, including backlog grooming and prioritization.
  • Ensuring and supervising all DevOps activities to maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Ensuring application performance, scalability, security, and overall reliability.
  • Ensuring the application of best development and industrialization practices as defined by the market and T&O.
  • Ensuring the proper integration of developed solutions into our infrastructure, in collaboration with the T&O infrastructure teams.
  • Writing and communicating technical specifications.

Training:

  • EPFL or equivalent.

Language Proficiency:

  • French: Advanced
  • English: Advanced

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: CHF130’000.00 - CHF135’000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Technical Architect: 10 years (Preferred)
