Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Governance Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining effective data governance practices within our organization. The candidate will be tasked with monitoring and maintaining information related to data users, licenses, and contracts throughout the company. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for various aspects of data governance, including but not limited to creating a Data Catalog, Data Discovery, Data Management, Data Compliance, Data contracts negotiation, and Audit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation of a Data Catalog:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive data catalog at the company level.
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date information in the data catalog.
  • Data Discovery:
    • Implement processes for discovering and documenting data sources across the organization.
    • Work closely with data owners to identify and classify critical data assets.
  • Data Compliance:
    • Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
    • Conduct regular assessments to identify and mitigate data compliance risks.
  • Data Contract Negotiations and Audit:
    • Negotiate and manage data contracts with external vendors.
    • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with data contracts and agreements.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance:
    • Implement a robust monitoring system to track and report on the usage of data.
    • Maintain accurate records of data-related users, licenses, and contracts within the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Management or Management Engineering with 2 years of relevant working experience;
  • Previous experience in data governance will be considered a plus;
  • Some knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Italian;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
  • Familiarity with data catalog tools and technologies is a big plus.
