Senior Accountant/Controller

For our client, an actively growing player in the Commodity Trading industry, we are looking for a Senior Accountant/Controller. You would be part of a growing Finance Team working on a diverse range of tasks that span across accounting and controlling, as well as great development opportunities.
Responsibilities- Perform general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts;
- Prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting activities and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance;
- Participate in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process including consolidation;
- Prepare business data and analyze Trade P&L;
- Participate in the annual budgeting process;
- Assist in financial and tax audits;
- Assist in implementing and managing projects in finance and accounting.
- Must have a professional certificate in finance and accounting;
- Must have several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in a commodity trading company structure;
- Must have good knowledge of accounting standards or, ideally, initial knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER;
- Fluent in English and German. Any other language would be an advantage;
- Confident use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems, including QuickBooks.
