Senior Accountant/Controller

For our client, an actively growing player in the Commodity Trading industry we are looking for a Senior Accountant/Controller. You would be part of a growing Finance Team working on a diverse range of tasks that span across accounting and controlling, as well as great development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts;
- Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting activities and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance;
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns;
- Participation in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting process including consolidation;
- Preparation of business data and analysis of Trade P&L;
- Participation in the annual budgeting process;
- Assist in financial and tax audits;
- Assist in implementing and management of projects in finance and accounting
Your Profile
- Must have a professional certificate in finance and accounting
- Must have several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in commodity trading company structure
- Must have good knowledge of accounting standards OR, ideally initial knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER
- Fluent in English and German. Any other language would be an advantage.
- Confident use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and ERP systems, including Quick-Books
- High degree of personal responsibility
