Thank you for your interest in joining GES as Head of Secondary English and EAL. This is an exciting role that is key to our future. We want to ensure that all of our students have a solid foundation in the English language which enables them to excel in their education. We have combined responsibility for EAL with this role as a number of our students are very strong orally in English but struggle to read and write to the same level.
Please note. You must have the right to work in Switzerland before applying. The school will not be able to get you a work permit if you do not hold an EU passport or already have the right to work in Switzerland. This means if you are a UK, US, Canadian etc passport holder without a B or C Swiss work permit you should not apply as we cannot consider your application.
We are looking for someone with the key pieces of experience listed below:
You should have at least 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in an excellent British state or private school,You have experience of differentiating work for both SEN and EAL students,You should have experience of teaching a wide variety of students from year 7 through to year 13 and be confident in leading on all aspects of literacy across the school,You have a track record of achieving excellent GCSE and A Level results, If you have these skills and experiences then we would love to receive your application.
