About Oak Hill Oak Hill is a small, unique, research-based programme (taught in English) for primary students with specific learning differences (dyslexia) and/or AD(H)D. Our not-for-profit programme was established in 2005 and is funded and supported by Oak Foundation . Oak Hill s vision is to support students with specific learning differences in the region of Geneva, Switzerland, to help them reach their full potential. Students following the programme benefit from structured lessons in reading, writing, and maths, using the Hill Learning Centre programme , which is based on the work of Dr Samuel Orton and Anna Gillingham. Learning Support Teacher (leading to Head Teacher role) Purpose of the roleWe are looking for a dedicated educator with experience teaching students with specific learning difficulties/AD(H)D to join our team. In this position, you will play a vital role in shaping students' literacy and numeracy skills, helping them progress using highly structured and multisensory methodology. After an initial training period, the successful candidate will also help launch the programme on other Ecolint campuses and further expand the programme in the Lac Léman region.During 2026, the candidate will gradually transition into a leadership role and as Head, you will seek to grow the number of students reached by the programme and supervise the growth of the team. A structured handover period, including mentoring and ongoing support from the existing team and Oak Foundation, will ensure a smooth transition into this leadership position.In summary, this post requires someone with the drive and ambition to expand the reach of the programme, making it resilient and financially sustainable, while continuing to enjoy the supportof Oak Foundation. Your work will have a direct and lasting impact on improving outcomes for children who learn differently. Main responsibilities include:TeachingPlan and deliver structured literacy and/or numeracy lessons to small groups (typically 4 5 students), using evidence-based, multisensory methodologies.Maintain regular communication with parents, classroom teachers, learning support staff, and school administration to ensure a cohesive support system for each student.Complete online training via the Hill Learning Centre (our sister school, in North Carolina, US) in order to be able to teach the programme.Attend accredited courses/attend regular in-service to remain informed and proficientwith best practice.Leadership & strategic developmentSupervise teaching staff and ensure quality programme delivery in the different campuses.Liaise with Oak Foundation as the primary funder and sponsor.Plan professional development for Oak Hill staff or workshops for educators and parents.Liaise with Hill Learning Centre to enhance programme quality.Develop and implement strategies to expand Oak Hill s presence and partnerships withinthe Lac Leman region.Administrative managementOversee day-to-day operations, including HR processes, budgeting, and resource procurement.Coordinate school timetables, calendars, staff meetings; plan for and liaise with teachersand parents as needed.Manage student admissions and enrolments, conduct parent interviews, and respondto general enquiries.Maintain accurate records and reporting, including end-of-term reports and student files.Generate and manage invoices, subscriptions, and other administrative documentation.NB: accounting, legal, HR, and IT support are provided by Oak Foundation. Position requirementsQualified Teacher with Master s degree (preferably in Special Education/Dyslexiaor a related field) or training/qualification in learning differences (particularly dyslexia).At least seven years experience teaching primary students between 5 - 14 years of age.Minimum three years of leadership experience, preferably in learning support or special education across a school setting.Experience with assessment reports an asset.Knowledge of standardised testing, planning individual programmes, progress monitoring, and using data to help close achievement gaps.Proficiency in educational technology, including the use of iPads and desktop computersto deliver instruction.Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.Demonstrated innovation and entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive approachto programme development.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Fluent in English; good working knowledge of French.A commitment to Oak s organisational values.
