Alumni Development Manager (W/M):

Your mission:

  • We seek an individual to support a culture of giving by strengthening the relationships between the School and its Alumni community.
  • This person will codevelop an Alumni fundraising strategy, implement its engagement plan working in close collaboration with both the Philanthropy and the Alumni teams as well as volunteers, and other EPFL departmental staff.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Research best practices, make recommendations to management on Alumni engagement
  • Understand the Alumni constituency, analyse and segment Alumni data
  • Tailor strategic giving opportunities for Alumni giving
  • Create, lead and ensure strategic and effective communication for the various Alumni segments
  • Manage a portfolio of Alumni prospects and donors in collaboration with all parties involved
  • Develop stewardship plan for Alumni donors and support its execution with management, as appropriate
  • Codesign, shape and participate in tailored events
  • Act as point of contact to foster Alumni giving
  • Ensure recording of Alumni engagement in database
  • Set milestones and KPIs for reporting

Your profile:

  • Master degree in business, communication, social sciences, sciences or any other relevant training
  • Relevant professional experience in fundraising, communication, relationship management and/or Alumni relations of minimum 35 years
  • Required bilingual French and English, any other language a plus
  • Good knowledge and strong interest in fundraising, higher education and STEM
  • Solid understanding of the donor lifecycle and the business of fundraising and development
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with experience in communication management and/or relationship management
  • Open minded, collaborative and team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Positive, cando attitude with strong desire to take initiative
  • Structured and organized, rigorous and detail oriented
  • Strong adaptation skills with ability to interact at different levels
