Security Specialist

As one of the key suppliers to an international banking client in Basel, Swisslinx is seeking an experienced Security Specialist proficient in Cyber Automation and Python/PowerShell to join a skilled business-facing team on a contract basis. The client is willing to wait for the right candidate.
This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension, potentially up to five years.
In this role, you will enhance alert and case management workflows, assist with advanced detections and filtering, provide platform support, and manage various tasks as internal demands evolve.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing Python code to enrich alerts before ingestion into the Bank's alert management system.
- Developing Python code to create "responders" in the Bank's alert/case management system for repetitive tasks.
- Integrating the alert/case management system with other corporate and security systems.
- Executing queries (SQL or similar) to extract relevant data for reporting and alerting.
- Assisting with application patching of the Bank's cyber applications.
- Scripting for custom reporting and querying of systems like Active Directory and the Bank's SIEM.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Strong Python skills and ideally experience with PowerShell.
- Experience as a Developer, particularly in Cybersecurity or IT automation.
- Familiarity with version control systems and pipelines like Git, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
- Understanding and experience in modern development practices, including version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to comprehend user requirements and implement them effectively in an existing tech stack.
Nice-to-have skills and experience:
- Knowledge of platforms such as ServiceNOW, the Hive, and Azure security tools.
- Previous work in security automation, specifically for alert and case management.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and other scripting or programming languages.
- Understanding of containers like Kubernetes (preferably OpenShift) and ArgoCD.
- Familiarity with Linux platform administration, application maintenance in an enterprise environment, and troubleshooting.
Please note that interviews will be conducted via video call, and the role is entirely based in Switzerland.
