The BOBST Group Technology division carries out innovative technology and product developments to shape digital transformation in the packaging industry.

Within this group, BOBST is looking for its future
Product Owner IoT based in Mex/Switzerland and with frequent travels (mainly in Europe).


As a core member of the BOBST Connect initiative, a cross-department business and technological transformation, the Product Owner IoT will define the IoT strategy for specific features, markets, customers, and/or business unit(s).


The Product Owner IoT will report to the IoT Product Manager in BOBST Group Technology, a transversal department leading BOBST's digital transformation and supporting all Product Lines.


Responsibilities


In this role, You will work closely with various internal & external stakeholders and collaborate with other IoT Product Owners to build a coherent strategy and roadmap for IoT projects/products, relying on business models qualified by market and competition analysis and identified ROI.

In addition, You will be in charge of the following responsibilities:

  • Regularly realign and communicate the IoT strategy and roadmap with multiple business stakeholders
  • Follow the execution of the IoT roadmap by owning specific features and supporting the development teams with welldefined requirements and related acceptance criteria to be included in the backlog of the development teams
  • Organize and conduct user testing sessions to gather feedback and insights
  • Continuously seek opportunities for product improvement and innovation
  • Collaborate with UX/UI experts to ensure an intuitive product interface and user experience.

Critical Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Proven track record in product management (as product manager, product owner or business analyst) for a software product, ideally in an industrial context
  • Experience in working in agile methodology, ideally Scrum
  • Experience in digital transformation in a connected world, with all the related mindset and complexities
  • Experience on area of SaaS, IoT, cloud technology and/or data science
  • Clearly focused on delivering value to customers and passionate about building products for customers and understanding market needs
  • Team oriented, able to work with multiple actors, in a multicultural and international environment
  • Openminded, proactive and autonomous, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage shifting priorities and challenging the status quo, dealing with change in an industrial environment
  • Driven to understand and explain complex problems and workflows
  • Able to travel (typically 20% but up to 50%)

Education and languages

  • M.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or similar field
  • Full proficiency in English, good command of French an asset. German/Italian or other language is a plus.
