The ABC Global Alliance mission is to improve and extend the lives of women and men living with advanced breast cancer in all countries worldwide and to fight for a cure, to raise awareness of advanced breast cancer and lobby worldwide for the improvement of the lives of advanced breast cancer patients.


In this role, the resource would shape and implement the day-to-day operations in support of the organization's primary goals, including event organisation and project administration.

The Junior Project Coordinator would be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, with an estimated time allocation for:
Project management and development - 50%
Administrative functions - 50%

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support for the organisation
  • Contribute to the development of project's deliverables, together with the Chief Operating Officer and, where relevant, external consultants
  • Lead the coordination and implementation of projects in the annual work plan
  • Ensure timely delivery of project's materials and deliverables, tracking and reporting on project progress, reporting on results and evaluation
  • Coordinate the work of external consultants or external partners relating to the delivery of projects
  • Identify opportunities to promote, build partnerships and improve projects
  • Organise and coordinate projectrelated meetings and ensure timely and effective followup
  • Coordinate and develop newsletter, media outlets and other relevant communication materials with the support of a network of consultants and external agencies
  • Manage website operations, content coordination, and support content development with the support of a network of consultants and external agencies
  • Support the Chief Operating Officer in developing proposals for new partnerships and initiatives
  • Be a team player and help with other areas as needed

Other responsibilities

  • To monitor and document developments in key regions/countries and work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the President to support engagement opportunities with key stakeholders
  • To support the engagement and capacity building of member organisations
  • To support the Chief Operating Officer and the President in developing proposals for new partnerships and initiatives
  • To provide administrative support for the organisation

SKILLS; QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Required

  • Universitylevel education, ideally in a relevant field such as marketing, communication, business administration, public health etc.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English (written and spoken) verbal and written fluency in Italian or Portuguese is a plus
  • Solid ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Capability to take the initiative, plan, and work independently while being a strong and dependable team player
  • Cultural awareness and familiarity serving international populations
  • Solutionoriented critical thinking capacity, with excellent judgment and decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to tailor information to a specific audience and select appropriate channels
  • Commitment to the ABC Global Alliance values and mission objectives
  • Living in Italy (Lombardy, Piedmont) or Switzerland (Canton Ticino)

Desirable

  • Basic understanding of global public health policy environment
  • Demonstrated experience planning and implementing multicountry and/or multistakeholder campaigns and projects
  • Experience in public health and health policy and advocacy, whether at country, EU or international level, would be a plus

The employment package includes:

  • A monthly gross salary that will be defined depending on the experience
