The head of Global Network Management is responsible to maintain and develop the network of custodian banks and cash correspondents for Bank Julius Baer.

He or she represents the bank towards its business partners worldwide and at industry forums.

Market developments are monitored and addressed within the organisation to ensure an up to date and compliant service to clients.

The answering of queries from internal stakeholders as well as the coordination of various initiatives involving internal and external stakeholders are part of the daily business

YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • Defining and implementing the Bank Julius Baer custodian and cash correspondent network management strategy
  • Leading a small team of Network Managers and administrative staff
  • Supporting business growth via opening of new markets or new products/services
  • Ongoing monitoring of service delivery and quality of the Custodian and Cash Correspondent Banks (via Due Diligence Process)
  • Monitoring of Financials (3rd party fees) and conducting fee negotiations
  • Responsible for conducting Request for Proposals and Request for Information reviews
  • Opening of new custodian and cash correspondent banks. Contracting (Custody Contract, SLA, etc.)
  • Sub account processing (opening, closing, amendments, dormant account review etc.)
  • Point of escalation for internal stakeholders towards service providers
  • Internal relationship manager for BJB international branches and entities

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Banking apprenticeship or higher education in the area banking / economics
  • At least 5 years experience and profound know how in the area of Global Network Management
  • Outgoing and communicative personality with international exposure and networking as well as negociation skills
  • Experience in conducting market reviews and analyzing business cases
  • Team leading experience
  • Understanding of Banking Operations processes as well as good product know how in the context of international private banking
  • Analytical skills for monitoring service costs and identification of improvement areas
  • Fluent in German and English
