We address legislative and regulatory issues that promote and protect the discovery of innovative medicine, vaccines and animal health products while improving and protecting patient access to care.

We are currently looking for a
Communications Expert who will work closely with the Oncology and Vaccines business units on the following: Be responsible for creating and executing the external communications strategy with a clear focus in oncology, vaccines, and new launches.

Furthermore, conceptualize and coordinate new initiatives and projects which enhance the corporate reputation of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops external communication strategy for therapeutic areas Oncology & Vaccines in alignment with the leadership team, the functional leads and the EMEA Communication team.
  • Support key disease teams and future portfolio by planning and developing the right messaging, Q&As, media toolkit, disease factsheets etc. for product launch readiness.
  • Communicative support for product launches and product support along life cycle (e.g. press releases, articles, congress reports and more).
  • Monitor all relevant Swiss medical and lay media on a regular basis and communicate a weekly report to the internal key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a relevant network of communication professionals, journalists and medical writers in the area of innovative pharmaceutical industry.
  • Coordinate training activities for company spokespersons (e.g. Medical Director, Managing Director etc.) for media interactions.
  • Develop and implement a media handbook on our key disease area topics including crisis management for relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent company Corporate Identity (CI) /Corporate Design (CD) and make sure that the company employees stick to it.
  • Implement the Value of Innovation Messaging and make sure that all relevant internal stakeholders are aware of it and are working with these established messages.
  • Writing, storytelling, copywriting, translation coordination, proofreading, approval for printing for publication via various corporate channels.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive teamwork spirit among internal colleagues by contributing to a workplace culture in line with the company's values and principles.
  • Participate in functional meetings (Corporate & Disease Area Communications) at European or Global level.

Qualification and Requirements:

  • University degree (Master level) in communications, business, journalism, or relevant discipline preferred.
  • Prior experience (58 years) in media, public affairs, public relations, corporate communication.
  • Intimate knowledge of Switzerland, its culture, media landscape and health care system.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in German, English and French.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communications skills.
  • Creativity and curiosity with a drive for finding solutions also in difficult situations.
  • Proven ability to summarize complex issues in an understandable way for both healthcare audience and the public.
  • Excellent planning and project management skills with handson and cando attitude.
  • Resilient under pressure and able to work with significant time constraints in a dynamic, demanding environment.
  • Quick in collecting information, asking the right questions, and drawing the right conclusions.
  • Likes to work in a team but shows high level of initiative and independence at the same time.
  • A reliable and trustful partner internally and externally.
