We are currently seeking a
Therapeutic Area Head To support our Global Clinical Trail Organization in Switzerland & Austria. This position will be based in Switzerland and will report to the Sr. Clinical Research Director for Switzerland and Austria.


In this role you will be accountable for the end to end performance of clinical trials in one or several Therapeutic Areas (TA), from feasibility to close out.

You will be accountable for 30 up to 50 clinical trials and will ensure excellent study performance with strict adherence to local regulations, companies SOPs and ICH GCP.


In this role you will have a line management responsibility for Clinical Research Managers and functional oversight of other roles in their studies across both countries.


Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading one or several TA of the growing portfolio in Switzerland & Austria
  • Accountable for the successful execution, enrolment and quality of their clinical trial portfolio
  • Accountable for performance metrics
  • Collaborating with other TA directors, local and regional stakeholders in order to develop and build territory of principal investigators and sites
  • Ensuring oversight and line management of Clinical Research Manager team within TA.
  • Collaborating and working closely with other stakeholders in Clinical Trail & Global Clinical
  • Development, regional and headquarter teams, quality, finance, IT and Human Recourses
  • Collaborating with external investigators, regulators and vendors
  • Supporting local and regional strategic initiatives across Global Clinical Development and the Global Clinical Trail Organization
  • In this position you will impact directly both country's ability to reach business targets and objectives and ensuring that productive partnership with internal and external business partners are built

Your Profile:

Education

  • Scientific Background (or equivalent healthcare knowledge) required, Medical Doctor, Doctor of Pharmacy, PhD advantageous

Experience

  • At least 10 years ́ experience in clinical trial organization and at least 2 years ́ experience in a functional management position
  • CRA, CRM and project management and line management experience preferred
  • Knowledge in the Oncology Therapeutic Area preferred

Qualifications, Skills

  • Sound knowledge of ICH-GCP, Good Documentation Practices, Country/Regional Clinical
  • Research Guidelines and regulations
  • Strong leadership with positive proven success in people management
  • Fluent in German and business proficient in English (verbal and written)
  • Ability to think crossfunctionally and working across boundaries internationally
  • Ability to identify problems, conflicts and opportunities early and drive mitigation plans and conflict resolution
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, conflict management skills
  • Relationship management and networking skills: strong integration into local
  • Headquarter TA network and ability to build productive relationships with all parties
