- Implement scalable high-performance databases to meet business needs and solutions based on the Product Owner's recommendations.
- Manage end-to-end availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning for PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB using native and third-party tools.
- Oversee the migration of numerous open-source databases to containerization platforms such as OpenShift or Azure Kubernetes Services.
- Ensure monitoring, logging, and alerting are configured and integrated with monitoring tools following company standards and requirements.
- Identify query language optimizations for optimal performance and collaborate with Hybrid Cloud colleagues on the underlying infrastructure.
- University degree in a technical field with a minimum of 5 years' experience in multi-user environment administration, specializing in planning, designing, building, and implementing complex database systems.
- 5+ years of experience managing MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB in production environments.
- Extensive experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Strong Linux administration skills (containerization knowledge is a plus).
- Experience in database containerization, working with cloud providers (Azure), infrastructure automation/provisioning tools, using Microsoft TFS, and familiarity with Elastic Search and/or Splunk would be beneficial.
