The Role
We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Geneva and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional results for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand, follow, and contribute to the refinement of team processes to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient workflow.
- Proactively identify and resolve system availability, performance concerns, and ensure system security to maintain a stable and reliable environment.
- Create and maintain encryption and replication strategies between various database environments to ensure data integrity and security.
Requirements:
- Drive work to closure with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Previous direct experience working as a Database Administrator, with a strong understanding of database management systems.
- Show pride in the quality of work being done and demonstrate a commitment to excellence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Able to demonstrate previous experience with automation and configuration management tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Performed tuning utilizing indexes, disk, and query optimizations, and other methods to optimize database performance.
- Experience with database replication and failover mechanisms to ensure high availability and data integrity.
- Examples of previous work with encryption methodologies for databases to ensure data security.
- Able to work with database clustering techniques to improve scalability and reliability.
- Experience with at least two of the following database technologies: Postgres, MSSQL, Oracle.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or relevant experience.
