Head of Business Development

We are looking for an experienced business development executive that lives and loves growing businesses, creating sales pipeline, and
can position cutting edge technology from the C-Suite down.
You are passionate about
identifying opportunities, working databases and coaching business development individuals in your team to do the same.
You have a hands on approach and positive empowerment attitude to support continuous learning and impressive BD success in your team.
This role
requires the individual to have a strong understanding of the AI and emerging technology market as well as all the technologies associated with it
:Gen AI, LLMs, Retrieval Augmented Generation, Foundational Models, Open-Source vs.
Squirro forefronts the Generative AI market with its enterprise ready generative AI for Search, Insights and Automation.
Customers in the US, Europe, the Middle East and Singapore rely on our cutting edge Semantic Insight Technology for Enterprise Search, Service Management, Risk Management, and Sales Management.
**What needs to be done: - Your mission will be to scale a high-performing team of Business Development Representatives (BDR) to enable hypergrowth globally.- More specifically, you will be in charge of scaling and coaching the BDR team; aligning on strategy with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), being fully accountable for and transparent on the team's performance. The BD team is currently composed of 3 BDRs with growth identified. We will need you to help our team reach the next level (e.g.,
improve pitching, improve productivity, manage the database, identify key gems etc.) - Identifying lead opportunities pre, during and post marketing campaigns with the CMO and setting your team on the right path to turn these into sales opportunities for the sales team.
Within 1 month, you will
- Begin onboarding
- Start qualifying leads and create your first opportunities
for you and your team: - Meet with internal stakeholders and learn the business Align with Marketing & Sales leadership on strategy
Within 3 months, you will
- Coach the BDR team
- Fully master tools and processes
- Hubspot, Sales processes etc
Within 6 months, you will
Identify and lead projects to drive BDR performance
Within 12 months, you will
- Give strategic input to influence the business plan
The Skill Set
- Previous experience of
at least 4 years hitting targets as a BDR or SDR in a
B2B SaaS environment:
Growth Mindset, Passion to Identify Opportunities, Push Boundaries:
Mandatory: experience using Hubspot and Salesforce
- Experienced in outbound and/or accountbased marketing
- Proven ability to coach a team of 3+ members
- Strong written and oral communication skills Passion for learning and education
