As a video editor, you will edit, combine, and refine various recorded and stock video clips into a smooth final product. You will collaborate with the production and marketing teams to achieve project objectives. It is essential that you follow the existing standards to communicate your message clearly. You will show your effectiveness in this role by creating engaging, enjoyable, and suitable videos to meet client-needs.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

:

  • Edits videos to targeted length and specifications
  • Handles and organizes raw and edited video files
  • Exports videos and facilitates mobile and web distribution
  • Shoots video and produces content as necessary
  • Explores different versions and directions
  • Ensures compliance with highest journalist standards
  • Adjusts formats and file sizes as needed
  • Oversee video projects and help coordinate their completion

Job Requirements

:

  • Minimum 3 years of video editing and postproduction experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skillsets and teamplayer
  • Proficient in various nonlinear video editing and motion graphic tools and other software (Adobe suite, Davinci Resolve.)
  • Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles
  • Creative and innovative mindset
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problemsolving skills
  • Proficiency with camera equipment
  • Bachelor's degree in Film or related field
  • Abilty to speak in English and French
