Unep Internship for Video Editor

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system, and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.
The UNEP Internship for Video editor & graphic designer intern is for six (6) months.The Internship is UNPAID and full-time.
Interns work five days per week (40 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned.
Responsibilities:
The intern will work with the Secretariat of the Partnership for Action on Green Economy housed in the Resources Markets Branch, UNEP.
More specifically, the intern will support the following tasks:- Editing and producing audiovisual content for PAGE communication channels
- Creating graphic designs and other communication material. Knowledge of motion design is a plus.
- Contributing ideas and working to improve the layout and design of promotional materials.
- Marketing and promotion of audiovisual content through PAGE communications channels.
- Assisting in research activities, such as background research for editorial writing.
- Writing video scripts, adding subtitles
- Managing PAGE Youtube channel and supporting Social Media planning.
- Assisting the team with technical aspects of image editing and video editing.
- Supporting the team in any other relevant tasks

a. Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
b. Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent);
c. Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.
The intern must provide documentation of being:
(i) enrolled in a Master' or a bachelor's or a technical education course in advanced film & video production; or (ii) within one year after graduation from a Bachelor's, Master's programme or a technical education course in advanced film & video production.
Have demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter.
Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this internship, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of French and Spanish language is desirable.

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, applicants may be requested to undertake the internship remotely in view of constraints regarding visa issuance, international travel and access to UN premises.
Applicants must be willing and prepared to undertake the internship remotely for a part or the entirety of the internship.
