Description:
The Asset Servicing Specialist is in charge of collecting and recording notices, monitoring elections, and handling corporate action events accurately and promptly. Additionally, they oversee the proxy voting process, ensure seamless trade capture, book transactions, provide daily reports to clients, and manage communication with custodian banks and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and organize daily corporate action notifications from various custodian banks
- Collaborate with clients to obtain timely responses and elections
- Submit responses and ensure processing by custodian banks
- Verify entitlements for corporate action events
- Ensure accurate processing of trades and transactions
- Review reconciliation discrepancies and make necessary adjustments
- Manage trade exceptions in the system queue
- Act as a liaison between onshore and proxy vendor
- Provide reports to business units and clients
- Follow procedures, maintain documentation, and support the team
- Identify workflow gaps and suggest process improvements
- Mentor junior associates and participate in training
- Engage in service calls with internal clients
- Stay updated on industry developments and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Hybrid Work Arrangement: Onsite and remote work flexibility
Minimum Skills to Hire/Must Haves:
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Quick grasp of new concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
