Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial controlling function and oversee day-to-day financial operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including the preparation and submission of financial statements and reports
  • Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures for accurate and timely reporting
  • Monitor and analyze financial data, offering insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Collaborate with different departments to guarantee accurate and comprehensive financial information
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and standards, ensuring adherence to US GAAP guidelines
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
  • Identify areas for enhancing financial processes and systems, suggesting and implementing solutions
  • Provide technical accounting expertise to address complex financial matters
  • Work with cross-functional teams to back strategic financial initiatives
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in the banking sector, specializing in financial controlling
  • Solid technical accounting background, including understanding of US GAAP standards
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards is a bonus
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented and capable of performing well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a cross-functional setting
  • High ethical standards and integrity
