The Opportunity:

Picarro is looking for a customer-facing technical Program Manager/Engineer to become a key member of our Gas Team in Switzerland and contribute to the development of the DACH region
. In this position, the Program Manager/Engineer becomes the key point of contact of the customer interacting with program management and product implementation.

This role can be based in Switzerland, Germany or Netherlands.

She or he will have a hands-on approach, a strong technical acuity, and a willingness to drive customer satisfaction. This person will play a vital role in supporting post sales activity within major utility companies.

S/He will also interface with new customers to organize and carry out field demonstrations and field trials using Picarro's flagship products at customer sites.


Roles and Responsibilities:

The Picarro Gas team is interacting with our natural gas utility customers providing on-site assistance using Picarro mobile Asset management solution and dedicated technical and methodology support.


S/He will be interacting with program managers for standardizing customer process and methodologies in relation with Picarro Asset management vehicle at customer site.

S/He will be developing processes, workflow, methodology, regulatory or customer specific deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help define and standardize product implementation methodologies and workflows.
  • Evaluate customers processes, identify roadblocks and simplify the workflow.
  • Develop Training program for key roles at the client, implementing Picarro solutions.
  • Understand Customers specific requirements and usecase using and deploying the product.
  • Support utility customers on system deployments.
  • Support the client during the change management and implementation phase of the Picarro solutions.
  • Support on site customer projects, operating Picarro systems.
  • Perform Quality control of operations and ensure process and procedures are maintained.
  • Develop strong customer relationships with key accounts.
  • Provide Sales with client specific information to support scaling business opportunities.
  • Data Analysis, definition of KPI and reporting for each project.
  • Quality control of driving.
  • Quality control of investigation.

Desired Skills & Abilities:

Client Program Managers need a wide range of skills and a solid technical base. Excellent customer relationship skills are critically important in this role.

  • Experience working in a customerfacing role.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of system engineering process, engineering designs and control systems.
  • Comfortable in dealing with complex, abstract, or vague problems.
  • Experience with connected objects, cloud computing, software or hardware design and development.
  • Analytical skills to apprehend complex configurations with multiple failure cases.
  • Strong skills in organization, timely delivery and independence are required.
  • Clean, detailed, and clear documentation practitioner.
  • Experience in project management is an asset.
  • Be proactive as a customer advocate, looking for and solving problems before they surface.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Resultsoriented team player with a "make it happen" attitude and drive for success in a fastpaced environment. Ability and affinity to respond quickly.
  • Energetic, highly motivated, unmatched drive and strong ability to influence others.

  • Demonstrate the necessary skills to negotiate issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy.

Language Skills:

  • German: full proficiency required
  • English: full proficiency required
  • Other EU language is an asset

Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Post-Graduate in engineering or science discipline (e.g. BE/BSc/MSc., etc.)
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in a customer facing engineering role.
  • Additional technical and professional credentials relating to the job requirements skills are advantageous.
  • Driving license.
